Make the chart easier to read
- Use short stage names so readers can scan the process without decoding abbreviations.
- Keep the denominator consistent. A conversion rate is meaningful only when adjacent stages are measured from a compatible population.
- Do not force the values to decrease just to make the chart look like a funnel; an increase can be real and should remain visible.
- If exact cross-category ranking matters more than the process, a bar chart is usually the clearer choice.

How does Vizvero calculate funnel conversion rates?
For every stage after the first, Vizvero divides that stage value by the previous valid stage value and displays the result as a percentage.
Do funnel values have to decrease at every stage?
No. Vizvero preserves the values you provide. Decreasing values are common for conversion funnels, but an increase can be valid when the process or measurement naturally allows it.
What is the difference between a funnel chart and a bar chart?
A bar chart compares independent categories. A funnel chart assumes the rows are ordered stages of a process and emphasizes change between neighboring stages.
Can I export an animated funnel chart?
